THE BIRTH OF AN IDEA

Columbia was set-up in 1981 in Mirano, in the Province of Venice, and it didn’t take long to reach a leading position in the sector of Italian man shirt and blouse for woman manufacturing thanks to its entrepreneurial talent and production efficiency.
1993 marked the company’s turning point: by exploiting the professionalism and experience gained thanks to alliances formed with prestigious international groups, Columbia could now focus its sound human and technological resources on the design, manufacture and marketing of single-brand fashion cotton shirt wear.

To study, manufacture and distribute a complex and exacting product like men’s casual wear and casual clothing for women, in four collections and numerous fast packages per year, can become possible provided talent, knowledge and production synergies dialogue within a compact but flexible organisation, in which each part is aware of the role it plays and is constantly motivated to achieve continuously new targets.
